Roses
In the past, so much of what I have planted has been beautiful, deer-proof, but lacking in scent. Now that we put up our fence, I have just planted 12 Mr. Lincoln red rose bushes and 6 Double Delight rose bushes. The Double Delight are red and white together and have won awards for their scent. Once I add a little lavender and a few miniture rose bushes the bed will be done. For the arbor I planted a coral colored climbing rose combined with a vividly deep pink clematis. I love spring! I’ll post some pictures when I have a garden of blooms, instead of the bare canes and sprouts I have now. But the end result should produce a lovely fragrant bed.
